SFX- Make-up basic bruise tutorial!

Hi guys!
So Since i thought it would be fun to start trying sfx- make-up,
i decided to show my first attempt to making a simple bruise with you!
Have fun!

if you are reading this on bloglovin', it's easier to click on view original post, because the lay-out is more logical

What do you need:

the products
blue gel eyeliner
(essence ready for boarding) eyeshadow palette with a matte yellow colour
big soft powder brush (and translucent powder)
A fluffy eyeshadow (blending) brush
A eyeshadow palette including a bright blue and mustard colour
A palette including purple, blue and grey/blue colours

How to make the magic happen!

after                                                       before
Take your gel liner on your finger and roughly mark were you want the bruise to be (I tried making a bruise before i made the pictures, and the gel-liner didn't fully come-off, so that's the light blue mark you see near me thumb :-)
Take a daker/mustard eyeshadow, and apply it over the liner
Now lighten the edges using the lighter yellow colour
Apply the bright blue in the center of the bruise and fade it out towards the edges
Do the same with a bright purple
Now take your powder brush (and translucent powder) to blend (/mattify) the colours you have applied until now
Now take a greyish blue shade and a purple/blue shade and blend it in, to darken the bruise
Now take a creamy concealer that is few shade darker than your skin tone. Apply it around the bruise and blend it in for a stronger effect. Don't use your eyeshadow brush to do this! I only used it to point the colour out. It has the most natural finish when you do it with your fingers!

 Done!!!

If you have any questions, feel free to leave them in the comment section down below! This is a simple bruise which is made easily and quick. If you feel like your bruise is still to light, add a little black using a light hand. I hope you enjoyed reading it as much as i enjoyed making it!

Have you ever done sfx-make-up?

xXx Imke
