Today I'm sharing a D.I.Y. trick with you!
I'm not a D.I.Y. star at all,
so you are shure all do-it-yourself's posted on this blog are super doable and easy!
Especially this one!
This is just a super simple and fun method to make you boring accesories a little bit more special...
Let's get started!
The things you will need:
Your accessory! As you can see I'm using a plain haircomb.
- Your glue! I like to use nail glue rather than super glue, just because it is equally strong, but it takes a bit longer to dry. So you have more time to work with it, but it also doesn't take too long to dry. Also, this nail glue by essence is super cheap and easy to work with.
- The studs or gemstones you want to use. You can buy special studs or gemstones, but it's easier to just use a nailwheel.
- And a tweezer!
Directions!
This is where it gets tricky if you have a more complicated design. But if you're doing something similar to me, you just slide the gems aside and dip some glue on the place where you want the gems to be. If you have another design, you just slide aside/take off one gem, dip glue, and place the gem back. Than you just repeat these steps!
Now slide back the gem into the glue using your tweezer. You don't want to get this on your fingers!
After that has dried, it should look something like this!
Now, so the studs stay in place better, top it off! You can also use a regular topcoat for this, but glue is way stronger. This is also where using nail glue comes in handy! Using a brush and swiping on the glue is way easier than having to find a way to do it using super glue. After leaving that to dry for a minimum of 10 minutes, you are finished!
Done!
So this is the 'trick' for decorating you accesories! Hopefully it will be usefull for you!
Do you ever decorate clothing or accesories so it fits better to your personal taste?
xXx Me
